New York rocked by ‘explosion’ as black smoke chokes Manhattan neighborhood

An explosion has rocked Manhattan’s Upper East Side and sent plumes of smoke into the skies over New York City.
Around 100 firefighters were called to 305 E 95th Street on Friday morning around 10am after a massive fire broke out in the prewar building.
The fire reportedly started on the roof of the building, according to SWR.
Helicopter video shows dozens of firefighters spraying water on top of the 59-unit building.
It is unclear what caused the explosion. No injuries have been reported.
